Earth Leakage Relay
Description:
This relay is used on AC systems and is a sensitive electronic protective device. Its operation on Earth fault is independent of the system voltage imbalance. This relay can detect Earth fault currents as low as 1 amp. which is 0.25% in a 400 amps feeder system. This can be used on a single phase or on a three-phase network.
Principle of operation:
This relay operates on the core balance principle wherein the currents in the three phase of the system are summed by a core balance C.T. which for normal conditions equate to zero. In case of a leakage current to earth this balance is disturbed causing the electronic circuit to operate a relay within the unit. In this event the relay that is generally connected to circuit breaker operates thus tripping the main circuit.

Phase Failure Relay
Description:
Type PFV Phase Failure Relay, popularly called Single phasing preventer. It operates almost instantaneously and protects the motor under any of the following conditions:
- When there is disconnection of any one of the lines to the motor.
- When the motor connections are reversed in phase.
- When supply voltage is unbalanced
Tests:
All relays are thoroughly tested before despatch to ensure reliable operation in service. All relays are routine tested at 2Kv for 1 minute.

Twi Light Switch
Description:
Navago Twilight Switch is designed for automatic control of outdoor luminaries like street lamps, campus lightings, yard lightings, compound lightings, etc. Switching is based on ambient light level.
Features:
The judgement of the Twilight Switch is based on an infrared sensor. The field of view of the sensor is such that the ground lights like automobile and torch light do not affect it. The light of the lamp post on which the sensor is fitted will not reach it because of its field of view.
Specifications and Features:
- The unit confirms to IP 54 standards for outdoor use.
- Automatic switching ON at dusk.
- Switching OFF at dawn or adjustable (4 to 8 hrs after switching ON).
- Immunity to dust, bird sittings and cloud cover.
- No seasonal resetting.
Operating Procedure:
The Twilight Switch turns the lightings ON when the natural light falls below 40 Lux. The lights are turned OFF either when the natural light falls above 40 Lux or the same can be adjusted to turn OFF after a certain duration of time (4 to 8 Hours.) Override option for the lights to continuously switched ON during daytime for maintenance reasons. The continuous OFF option, which helps for a dead current zone for repairs.
